Lumina (Infinity, phase 2)

Main St. @ Folsom St.

Lumina is the only luxury, large-scale condominium project that broke ground in San Francisco in 2013.  The community consists of 655 luxury condominium residences with retail and parking where SOMA meets the waterfront.  It is the second phase of the massive neighborhood redevelopment project.  Similar to the Infinity Towers of the first phase, Lumina was designed by the award-winning Bernardo Fort-Brescia of Architectonica and developed by Tishman Speyer.

Lumina will feature two residential towers that reach 350 and 400 feet tall; and two mid-rise podium buildings arranged around a landscaped central courtyard.   The result is 42 stories of striking curves and angles.  Warm modern interiors framed by floor to ceiling windows with majestic vistas of San Francisco and the Bay and offer an array of luxurious amenities.

Situated near San Francisco’s vibrant downtown, the sparkling waterfront, AT&T Park, South Beach and Rincon Hill,
The LUMINA site is centrally located close to jobs, transportation and city attractions. LUMINA is a bright, warm and modern residence. Floor plans include studio to three-bedroom layouts averaging 1,275 square-feet of spacious living. Representing the best of urban luxury living, LUMINA offers luxurious amenities including spa-like facilities with a private treatment room; a three-level urban clubhouse with pool; state of the art fitness center; an outdoor entertaining area and BBQ; a skyterrace esplanade with outdoor living room; a theatre-style private screening room; a music room to practice; a game room; a pet washing station; a children’s room to entertain kids and meet other families; bike storage, and a bike repair room; .

“LUMINA is the next generation Infinity. The design is inspired by the nautical nature of the city by the bay,” said Bernardo Fort-Brescia, principal of Arquitectonica. “The towers’ shapes are like hulls in a shipyard coming together. And the curved glass facades make up tower geometries, separating to create projecting balconies. The towers bypass one another, rising from a sprawling podium rooftop garden to clearing views of the bay and city skyline.”
LUMINA will offer the latest in valet technology where residents may summon their car remotely at any time. Each residence will have a parking space with the luxury of 24/7 valet service for residents and their guests. Electric vehicle charging stations also will be available to residents.
Two commercial spaces will be available at LUMINA. A 9,500 square-foot space along Folsom Street is envisioned for a restaurant or upscale market; and a 1,000 square-foot space at Folsom and Beale Streets is envisioned as a café.
